UK CAA QUALIFIES CTC’S NEW LEVEL D ZERO FLIGHT TIME B737NG SIMULATOR
CTC Aviation Group plc announced that its next generation B737 NG full-flight simulator from
Rockwell Collins – the first of its kind in the world from the avionics company - has been awarded
JAR-FSTD A Level D, Zero Flight Time certification by the UK Civil Aviation Authority at the first

Thales has signed a contract worth 152 million riyals (approx. 30 million euros) with Saudi Arabia’s
General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) for the development of the Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation in Jeddah.
The academy of the future will accept up to 500 trainees per year from 2010, with qualified instructors providing
training in air traffic control, maintenance of civil aviation electronic systems, fire safety and airport security.

Latest milestone achieved in Nimrod MRA4 synthetic training requirement
Thales UK and BAE Systems have today marked a significant milestone in the provision of simulators and other training equipment for the Royal Air Force’s (RAF’s) Nimrod MRA4 maritime reconnaissance and attack aircraft, with the completion of the upgrade of the aircrew synthetic training aids (ASTA) devices to a standard ready for training.

Thales has won a significant contract to supply two of its new RealitySeven Full Flight Simulators (FFS) to Turkish Airlines. This brings to 14 the total of RealitySeven FFS sold at date, including Airbus’ decision to acquire six of the new simulators for its facilities in France and in the USA.
